you have come to the right place!
Will we get some of these slides?
slides will be shared after the call
and a recording
We can also share the tools
also lesson learned from a diverse group is a great contribution
Great points Toshia!
providing financial support to PFAC members is key to demonstrating how much your health system values their active participation and input. Also PFAC members need to be actively included at
all levels of decision making as a key part of building trust.
Hi this is Heather Olden from henry ford health system. We currently have 400+ Patient Advisors in our program so we're pretty advanced. I'm more interested in learning how to recruit more diverse participants and then also how to incorporate health equity and SDoH into our PFAC meetings
This has been fabulous. How do facilities and PQCs find funds to support PFAs? Interpreters? Parking?
Would you recommend including associations or organizations that represent families that may be a good fit for a PFAC group to help discuss creating a structure/recruitment of families?
thank you for asking for me! I'm in a noisy room :-)
Thank you! We've been doing this for 5 years now
We got AHRQ funding to create a center devoted to patient centered outcomes research. the patient advisor program was born from that effort
We’re rural and many facilities use interpreter lines. I like the idea of finding PFA members who are multilingual.
Thank you so much!!
Fabulous webinar! Thank you so much for sharing your story Toshia!
