Joy, did I see that 1/2 of your funding is from individual donors. Do you know who those donors tend to be? Are these from fundraising events? Thank you for your presentation and great work.

Hey @Danielle - yes, until May 2021 we were exclusively funded by individual donors. We do know who the donors are and they come from all across the country because of some national attention we’ve gained. Fundraising events have produced lots of support too but we do not always know which individual donors contributed to community fundraising events … most often small businesses host those

Swedish Hospital in Seattle has an active program. The Doulas are paid. The program is currently grant funded.

Worcester MA is in the process of arranging funding through a couple of grants to train doulas for families throughout the process
